Spring Banner

Yesterday I ended up with 5, count 'em, FIVE whole hours of uninterrupted scrapping time. No hubby, no kids, no nothing. It was manna rained down from heaven itself. So, I knew I HAD to get my craft on, and this is what came out of my craft room at the end of the afternoon. I am really happy with it! As far as banners go it is not quite as elaborate as some I have seen, but over the top fancy is turning out to be just not my style :) . I used the Susan Winget paper, embellies and acetate accents. There are some Prima flowers and some Hobby Lobby flowers thrown in. The cute pink ribbon the banner is strung on is from a RAK. I used empty cereal boxes to cut the banner pieces out of (Tie the Knot Cricut cartridge), then I painted the backs with a couple coats of acrylic paint and sprayed them with Key Lime Glimmer Mist, just so when my next door neighbors are peeking into my house from theirs they don't think I have strung Kix and Cocoa Puff boxes across my window for decoration, haha! The letters are chipboard letters that I painted with Metallic Peridot acrylic paint. Everything was distressed with Peeled Paint and Dried Marigold distressing inks. I love the paper medallions. Those are my favorite thing to make lately! Hope y'all are having a great weekend! Thanks for looking :)
